How do I use the Find and Replace tool

A Find and Replace tool is available in the Rich Content Editor for efficient data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.

  1. In the Canvas LMS Rich Content Editor menu, select Tools.
  2. Select Find and replace.

The tool can also be accessed using the shortcut Command+F for Mac and Ctrl+F for Windows.

The Find and Replace tool will open on the right-side of the screen.

  1. In the Find section, enter a keyword to locate it in the Rich Content Editor. Use the Previous and Next buttons to cycle through and highlight each instance of the keyword.
  2. In the Replace section, you can select Replace to update the highlighted keyword or select Replace All to replace all instances of the keyword in the Rich Content Editor.
