What is GoReact?
GoReact is a cloud-based video assessment and feedback platform designed for teaching performance-based skills in higher education and professional development. It allows users to record, upload, and review videos for tasks, facilitating instructor/peer/AI feedback through time-coded comments
Teaching and learning applications
GoReact is primarily targeted at providing essential tools for the provision of one to one interactive oral assessments. Combined with the use of an OWL 360 degree camera, staff can record all participants in an assessment and provide time stamped comments and feedback.
Access and licensing
The University has a general license for GoReact which can be accessed via Canvas LMS. Staff and students do not need to pay additional fees to use the service.
Getting started
If you are interested in using GoReact in your subject, get in touch with our learning designers before you get started. As an initial consultation, this support will help inform you if GoReact is the best fit for your assessment and provide further guidance around best-practice use cases.
GoReact is added to the LMS via Assignment External Tools.
- Add an assignment in the LMS
- Enter points available for the activity (optional)
- Select External Tools, and locate GoReact LTI 1.3 (prod)
- Ensure Load this tool in a new tab is checked
- Click Save
- Refer to the GoReact: Oral assessments in Canvas LMS for configuring GoReact activities.
GoReact can be configured for live recording with feedback provided in realtime by the instructor, and additional feedback from an AI agent after session completion and post processing of the video. GoReact can also be configured to allow students to upload pre-recorded video for analysis and feedback.
