Canvas workshops, events, and webinars

Learning Environments are providing an extensive set of workshops and resources in support and preparation for the 2020 rollout of Canvas and Kaltura. These are available to both teaching and professional staff and are designed to be practical and linked to your teaching needs.

Workshops will be offered regularly throughout the rest of 2019 and well into 2020, in conjunction with Faculty support.

Staff can attend the below workshops which are offered centrally, or attend local Faculty or campus workshops. Local workshops will be run in conjunction with access to your migrated subjects and related migration support. To book into local faculty workshops click on Workshops by faculty below.

The current schedule of Canvas and Kaltura workshops on the Parkville campus is shared across two locations;  Room G17, Elisabeth Murdoch Building (EMB), and E-Learning Studio 2, First Floor, Baillieu Library, Parkville.

How to register

Registrations for all workshops are made via Eventbrite. Find the workshop that suits you in the schedule and click on Register to be taken to the Eventbrite registration page. Please note that registrations will close the day before the start of the workshop. All registered participants will receive an email with confirmation of the event details and location prior to the workshop.

Core workshops

These three core workshops aim to introduce Canvas, the basics of building content in your subject, creating and grading assessments (including group assignments) using a variety of methods, and to effectively utilise the communication tools available in Canvas.
