Exam Support (powered by BigBlueButton) is an online communication tool that enables teaching staff and students to have one-on-one interactions specifically related to exam content.
What is Exam Support?
The Exam Support tool is a support tool for centrally organised exams that will be used to address student queries related to exam content during the main examination period.
Students may ask questions to teaching staff via written private interactions only (they are unable to speak to staff using their microphones).
Staff members are advised not to use their microphones for support as voice interactions can be heard by all participants.

During the first 45 minutes of a centrally organised online exam, the Exam Support tool will be used to address any exam content queries that students may have
Access and licensing
Exam Support has been integrated with the LMS and is available in all subjects. It is accessible via the Subject Navigation menu in an LMS exam subject. By default, the link is hidden from students.
For subjects with centrally organised exams, the Exam Support link will automatically be made available to students 90 minutes prior to the exam.
The process to use this tool in centrally organised exams is automated and staff are not required to complete any manual configurations.
For subjects with centrally organised exams, the Exam Support link will automatically be made available to students approximately 90 minutes prior to the exam. At this time, both staff and students receive an invitation email to join the exam support tool.
